2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon - General Information

Location
  • The 2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon will take place at College Pond, DCR Myles Standish State Forest, Plymouth, MA on Saturday, September 14th, 2019. This forest has up to 15,000 acres of park land. There will be no rain date for the event.
USAT Rules
  • The 2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon is a USAT Sanctioned event and will follow all rules set forth by the USAT. USAT Officials will be present on the day of the race. For additional information go to USAT website.
Club/Team Discounts
  • We will offer 10% club/team discounts that wish to compete, please contact hc@pilgrimman.com for more information.
Relay Teams
  • All female, all male, and mixed relay teams are offered. Relay teams will consist of two or three individuals.
  • Relay team members have the same race number. The relay person doing the bike/run portion of the relay waits in transition by the athlete's race number on the bike rack to receive the timing chip from their team member.
Individual Sprint Duathlon
  • The Individual Sprint duathlon features a 1.8 mile run, followed by the same 12.7 mile bike and a 3.3 mile run also featured in the triathlon.
Aquabike
  • Aquabike is a swim and bike combination race. Aquabike is available in the Olympic distance and Half Iron distance. The Aquabike will be combined with the first two legs of the Olympic and Half Iron races.
  • Aquabike athletes race time stops when they enter into transition after the bike. Since the race time has stopped, you may take your time to walk/run across the finish line. Aquabike athletes cross the finish line by exiting "Run Out" from transition and bearing right to cross the finish line.

  • In honor of our country's Armed forces and their service, current and veterans, we are proud to offer a 10% discount. Please contact hc@pilgrimman.com to obtain the discount code, and thank you for your service.
Pilgrimman Referral Program Earns You Money
  • Pilgrimman will give you a $20 cash bonus for every three people that you refer to Pilgrimman who register for the race. The race registration referrals will be tracked through our race registration system and the cash bonus will be issued as a refund on your credit card.
Packet Pickup
  • Location: Packet pick up at race location, College Pond, DCR Myles Standish State Forest, Plymouth, MA Click here for directions. Time: Friday, September 13th, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 14th, 2019 from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Awards
  • Overall Fastest Athletes awards will be given to the top three fastest male and top three fastest female finishers in each race, regardless of whether they are an elite triathlete or not. Age Group awards will be given to the top three male and top three female age groups, top three male and top three female aquabike, and top three relay teams. The top 3 fastest athletes in each race are not eligible for age group awards.

Swim Course - Time Trial Start
  • Pilgrimman will feature a "time trial" swim start with two athletes going off every 5 seconds. Athletes will be grouped by swim waves which will be included in the Athlete Race Packet. At the swim course, athletes will be grouped by the signs displaying the swim waves.
Bike Support
  • Maul's Bike Shop in Halifax, MA will be providing bike support to the 2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon. If you are in need of a bike tune-up or need a new bike/accessories, Maul's can help you out with this.

Athlete Race Packet
  • Athlete race packets will be e-mailed to all participants within a week of the race date.
Spectators
  • Spectators, family and friends will enjoy the 2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon since the race course is designed to allow maximum viewing of the participants.
Pilgrimman Scholarship

Sprint Race Information
  • The 2019 Pilgrimman Triathlon | Duathlon Sprint distance race has a .3 mile swim, a 12.7 mile bike, and a 3.3 mile run.

Transition

Race Transition Information
  • You are not allowed to ride your bike in or out of transition at any time before, during or after the race or you may be disqualified.
  • Bike helmets are to be worn whenever riding your bike.
  • The transition area is for athletes only.
  • Each bike rack will have a number labeled on it that corresponds to your race number.
  • Rack your bike on the numbered rack that corresponds to your race number with your bike seat on the rack and your front wheel facing you (see below).
